Allied Welsh have just completed our loft extension, master bedroom with huge dormer window, bathroom and changing room with large Velux windows. It was a far from simple project not helped by us changing the layout. We looked at a number of companies but at the end of the day it was Allieds reputation dating back over 30 years and the fact they were finically stable (we checked their accounts on line before even contacting them). The staff from design though to all specialist tradesmen are employed unlike so many other companies so everything was kept under control. Finally every single member of the team were a pleasure to deal with. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone considering similar projects.

Fantastic company to deal with from start to finish. We had our small terraced attic converted to a bedroom. Work started in December and finished in January. No problems whatsoever, mess cleaned up every day. For such a big job there was minimal disruption to us. The whole team were hardworking and polite. Their standard of work and attention to detail was flawless. We love the new room, we're so glad we a) took the plunge and b) chose Allied Welsh!

They suggested to change them slightly, I took a look at the changes and we were very happy , but mentioned that I wish I could’ve kept more space in my main bedroom where I had fitted 4 door wardrobes but was happy to gain a extra room that was going to be a small bedroom which would mean removing one door.
They managed to keep my fitted wardrobe and altered them slightly inside to house the new staircase inside and created a new pole in the wardrobe.
From start to finish everything was excellent, house was kept clean which I was worried with all the back motor and light carpets throughout , the work men were constantly vacuuming and dusted down the top to bottom through to the hallway and front door when they left and additionally while they worked. Every part of my carpets were covered.
Any issues I had I sent a email and received either a call or email immediately and they were resolved.
The room turned out better than expected, where I now have a double bed/ office space.
They utilised as much of the space as they could and the attic storage space is very easy to access.
Everyone was so polite and hard working. I did have issues with my neighbour as he didn’t want to sign the part wall agreement and did try and stop my planning application, I couldn’t get it signed and they spoke to them in person and had it signed.
All the carpenters work was fantastic and they matched the doors, door handles and skirting perfectly. Plastering was perfect .
They snagged on a regular basis through the work , at the end I checked everything and didn’t find any snags, not one !

We had a loft conversion done on a 3-bed terrace. From the beginning, we were well informed at every step and we received very detailed plans. We even had the opportunity to choose where to put plug sockets and ceiling lights. There was also the opportunity to consider different types of roof insulation to maximise the internal headroom.
Work was carried out every day so the whole job was done in seven weeks (including one week of no work - we were told - when the roofers were on holiday).
We really liked this approach as the whole job was done really quickly instead of over several months.
The finish was very professional and all, even the small, loose ends were sorted out, including cleaning up after the scaffolding was removed.
Quote-wise, above average. But the quote was adhered to with no unexpected extra costs and the total duration was very quick. The only extra cost was choosing a more expensive, slimmer, roof insulation.

Fantastic loft conversion, guided by Allied Welsh every step of the way. AW built the design around our initial uncertain ideas, advising and supporting us through unfamiliar territory, always willing to listen to changes of plan and to adapt their schedule to fit new requests - often with very little notice. The work team were invariably friendly, polite and highly skilled. They were a pleasure to have around and we cant praise them highly enough.

Allied Welsh just completed our dormer loft conversion. Overall they did an excellent job without much disruption, considering the scale of works, and with an extremely professional team. We recently had our loft converted. We have received a professional service throughout. Everything is kept in house meaning the work from start to finish was completed in just over 4 weeks, no waiting around for subcontractors. This was the main reason for choosing Allied Welsh. We had a straightforward loft conversion completed in less than 5 weeks, with tradesmen on site everyday. All tradesmen were friendly and reliable, punctual and cleaned up at the end of each day! We had a loft conversion with Allied Welsh which they’ve just completed. From start to finish the process was smooth and very easy. The quote was given was reasonable, the drawing up of the plans and getting planning permission was straightforward. We were contacted an offered an earlier start time due to a cancellation. The work took exactly the length of time we were advised. The builders, electricians, plumbers and plasterers were all very polite, punctual and left the house clean at the end of each day. The build quality is great. Not a bad word to say about this firm. Hire them for your work without a second thought.
Quality company. I requested a quote for a loft extension in early 2022 as my friend used Allied Welsh and raved about them. I got a call from Dave (their surveyor) quickly and he was in to see my property within a week. He gave me a quote on the day and said - in his cheeky way:- "This quote's stupidly cheap so you'd better accept it before I get shouted at by the boss". He wasn't wrong, as other quote came in about 10-15% more. What I was amazed at is the quote didn't change, they honoured it, even though prices have shot up since then.
The process was easy: I had a Harry Potter lookalike and his team come to my house on the first day and they explained what would happen and how it would all work. From start to finish they were all really friendly and great fun to have in the house. I heard reports that they even helped an elderly gentleman who fell over in the street outside, which was nice to hear.

We would like to say that dealing with Allied Welsh from start to finish has been the most stress-free experience we have ever had with any builders. The professionalism of all your team has been a credit to your company, nothing has been too much trouble for them even when we have had to make an adjustment here and there. Our property was always left clean and tidy when they left after a day’s work and on the occasions, we were away we had no anxiety leaving the house empty, they simply got on with it. We have to say the quality, service and communication from Allied Welsh from start to completion has been completely superb.... working within the construction industry myself, I can testify that Allied Welsh deliver to the highest of standards, having several decades of experience, from the initial survey to the really polite & professional site teams who carry out the works (from carefully setting out dust sheets throughout the house at the start of the day, to vacuuming & cleaning up up at the end)..... can’t recommend them highly enough and would not hesitate to use them again, either personally or professionally

Having seen previous conversions undertaken by Allied Welsh , we decided to use Allied Welsh for a loft conversion with an en suite bathroom and they were a pleasure to deal with throughout and made the process as painless as possible taking care of every stage from inital consultation , planning applicaiton and on site
